Accessibility statement

The Vector website has been developed to Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) level AA standards, with the aim of making it accessible to the widest range of users possible.

•  The text is resizeable by following these instructions :

•  For the PC:

• Internet Explorer 6, go to "View" on the top menu bar of the browser, select "Text Size", then choose the required text size.

• Internet Explorer 7, go to the bottom right of the browser, click the arrow to the right of the magnifying glass, and select the required zoom level.

• Firefox, go to "View" on the top menu bar of the browser, select "Text Size", then increase or decrease as required.

•  For the Mac:

• Internet Explorer, go to "View" on the top menu bar, select "Text Zoom", then choose the required text size, or increase or decrease as required.

• Firefox, go to "View" on the top menu bar, select "Text Size", then increase or decrease as required.

• Safari, go to "View" on the top menu bar, then choose "Make Text Bigger" or "Make Text Smaller" as required.

•  Hyperlinked text has been written to clearly describe the target links, and therefore should be understandable even when removed from context.

•  A site map has been provided, and lists and links all the pages on the website.

•  'Skip to main content' links, which enable screen-reading software to bypass repetitive navigation links, have been implemented.

•  In general, web pages have been constructed in a three-column layout. Visitors using certain screen-reading software should set that software to column detection mode.

•  The site makes extensive use of PDF documents for press releases, technical documents and guides, and other informative material. To convert these to an accessible format, visit the Adobe Access website , or the Adobe Simple PDF Conversion facility .

•  Links to PDFs and external websites all open in a new browser window.
